KY for Goodbye

Well, I’m off again, this time back to my old Kentucky home. This coming weekend is Kentucky’s Junior Miss 2010 program, and I am right now sitting at Gate B2 at the Chicago Midway Airport, waiting for my flight back to Kentucky. I always think it’s crazy when I’m sitting in class, conjugating Spanish verbs, and then 12 hours later I’m headed to a rehearsal in another state! I rode the train to Midway today after my Latin American theatre class and I think everyone who saw me thought I was completely insane for lugging my mammoth suitcase all over the L.
My plane will get in around 9:30 tonight in Louisville, where at least one of my parents will (hopefully) be waiting. Then home, sleep, and heading into KJM rehearsal first thing tomorrow morning. It looks like it’s going to be a really, really spectacular week, and I can’t wait to get to see all the girls again!
In other news, I’ve just started a new quarter at school. I’m taking Spanish, Macroeconomics, Latin American Theatre, and African American Theatre, chipping away at my Theatre Major, Business and Spanish Minors. I’m also a props assistant for three shows this quarter, so I’ll be bopping all around the city trying to find handcuffs from the 1960’s and a remote controlled light to bake into a birthday cake. It’s a strange life I lead.
I’ll be sure and keep you posted on all the happenings of KJM 2010!
